1. Who we are

preTune is an invite-only music sharing platform for artists and producers. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it.

2. Data we collect

• Account information:Your email address, display name, and (optionally) a profile photo when you create an account.
• Audio files:Tracks you upload to share with other members. These are stored securely and only accessible to you and the people you share them with.
• Watermark identifier:A unique hex identifier assigned to your account, embedded into every download you make. This is used solely for leak tracing.
• Usage data:IP addresses and timestamps associated with downloads, logins, and other security-relevant actions, stored in an audit log.
• Referral data:The referral code used to create your account, to maintain invite chain integrity.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and maintain your account and the platform
• To embed your unique watermark into tracks you download
• To identify the source of any leaked audio files
• To enforce security policies such as rate limiting and download quotas
• To investigate abuse, fraud, or terms violations

4. Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate preTune:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage (servers in the EU/US)
• Google OAuth: optional sign-in method, governed by Google's Privacy Policy
• Google Cloud Run: processes audio files for watermark embedding, files are not retained after processing

We do not sell or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Audio files are stored until you delete them or your account is closed. Audit logs are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the account settings page.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), server-side session validation, row-level security on all database tables, and audit logging on sensitive actions. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of preTune after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
